Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective and last updated: August 27, 2026
Purpose and scope
This policy explains how Erudite Prestige Technology Firm handles refund and cancellation requests. It applies unless a signed quotation, statement of work, subscription plan or other written agreement contains more specific terms. Nothing here limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
Custom software development
Custom work is planned and performed for a particular client. Fees for discovery, completed milestones, approved change requests, time already worked, licensed materials and non-recoverable third-party costs are not ordinarily refundable. If we cannot deliver a paid, agreed milestone for reasons within our control and cannot provide a reasonable remedy, we will assess a refund for the undelivered portion.
Website development
Website projects follow the same milestone approach. Design, content work, domain or hosting purchases, premium themes or plugins, integrations, deployment and other completed or committed work will be deducted from any amount under review. Dissatisfaction based solely on a change of preference is not normally grounds for refund where work conforms to the approved brief.
Deposits
Deposits reserve delivery capacity and fund initial work or procurement. Before work begins, a cancellation request may qualify for a refund less transaction fees and non-recoverable costs. After work or procurement begins, the deposit will be applied to completed work and committed costs; only any remaining balance may be refundable.
Work already completed
Amounts attributable to accepted or substantially completed work are not refundable merely because a project is later paused or cancelled. We will provide a reasonable account of completed work when calculating a cancellation balance.
Digital products and services
Because downloadable files, licences, configurations, reports and deployed digital services may be immediately usable, they are generally not refundable after delivery or access, except where the item is materially defective, materially different from its description, or a refund is otherwise required by law. Please report a defect promptly and allow us a reasonable opportunity to correct it.
Subscription services
You may cancel a subscription before its next renewal date to stop future charges. Unless the plan states otherwise, cancellation remains effective at the end of the current paid period and unused time is not prorated or refunded. If a subscription service is unavailable for a material part of a paid period due to a failure within our control, we may provide a credit, extension or proportionate refund after review.
Duplicate payments
If the same obligation is paid more than once, contact us with the transaction references. Once verified, the duplicate amount will be refunded to the original payment method where practicable.
Failed or pending transactions
A failed or pending transaction is not necessarily a completed payment. If your account was debited but we did not receive confirmation, first allow the bank or payment processor’s normal reversal period. Send us the transaction reference if the amount is not reversed. We will check our records and work with the processor, including Paystack where applicable; the bank or processor controls its own investigation and settlement timing.
Accidental payments
Report an incorrect amount or payment to the wrong invoice promptly and before we begin or continue the related work. We will review the request, the payer’s identity, work performed and costs incurred. An approved refund may be reduced by authorised work, non-recoverable costs and payment charges where lawful and disclosed.
Project cancellations
Cancellation should be sent in writing. We may stop work once received and will calculate fees for work completed, work in progress, authorised commitments and reasonable wind-down. If payments exceed that amount, an approved balance will be refunded; if they are less, the outstanding balance remains payable. We will provide available paid-for deliverables in their then-current state where lawful and practical.
Subscription cancellations
Use the account cancellation option where available or contact us from the account’s registered email. Cancellation must be received before the renewal is processed. Removing an application, ceasing use or allowing a card to expire does not by itself cancel a subscription.
How to request a refund or cancellation
Email info@eruditeprestige.com or use our Contact Us page. Include your name, invoice or project reference, transaction reference, payment date, amount, reason and relevant evidence. Do not send full card details. We may request reasonable verification to prevent fraud.
Approved refunds
Approved refunds are normally returned through the original payment method. Processing time depends on Paystack, the bank, card network or other provider and is outside our direct control. We will communicate the approval and available reference; provider charges already incurred may be deducted only where permitted and appropriate.
